- Married with no children
- The spouse gets the entire estate.
- Married with child or children
- If the surviving children who are all issue of the surviving spouse as well as the decedent, the spouse gets the entire estate. If there are surviving issue who are not issue of the surviving spouse, the spouse gets one half of the separate property and no interest in the one half of the community property that belonged to the decedent.
- No spouse survives but there are other relatives
- If no spouse survives, the estate passes in the following order:
1) decedent’s children
2) decedent’s parents
3) descendants of the decedent’s parents
4) grandparents or descendants of grandparents. - No surviving relatives
- The entire estate passes to the state of Arizona.

- 1) A person who does not survive the decedent by at least one hundred twenty hours is deemed to have predeceased the decedent.
2) Relatives of the half blood inherit the same share they would inherit if they were of the whole blood.
